Liverpool will not be active in the winter transfer window

Even though there is a fairly large amount of players in the squad of JurgenKlopp that have been suffering with physical problems and injuries, the German manager of Liverpool has recently stated that they will not be active in the winter transfer window.

Daniel Sturridge,DejanLovren, Martin Skrtel, Philippe Coutinho, Danny Ings and Joe Gomez are just some of the players that have recently been having problems with injuries and they aren’t expected to be back in action anytime soon.

Despite all of these injured players, JurgenKlopp is not expecting to sign many high profile players or any player at all. The 49 year old player did say that the summer transfer window will certainly be a more active period of time for Liverpool in the transfer market but that not many things are expected or planned to be done for the next few weeks.

“If you told us the right players right now were available for us then we would do it, of course. I’m 100 per cent convinced that the things you do in the winter you would only do in the summer too’’

“Everything else only solves the problem for a second and a few days later you have another problem. We cannot just get any player. This squad is too strong. We need players that make us better. Of course somehow in the season you have harder moments.

“We have not been lucky with injuries, with important players being out at the wrong moment. That didn’t help but we have to continue and I’m sure if we had more players at the beginning of the season we wouldn’t have had this success, because it’s all about the group and this group is really good together’’ Liverpool’s JurgenKlopp said.
